The Morikaunui Incorporation was formed in 1955 when the land was released to the 2,500 owners from Government control. The Founding Chairman was Dr Rangitakuku Mete Kingi, CBE.



    Morikaunui Incorporation's farm, Morikau Station, has a productive farming area of 2,475 hectares. The Station's total area is 4,842 hectares and stretches from Huruharama (Jerusalem) to Ranana (London) on the Whanganui Awa..

A successful AGM has now concluded, offering Zoom and Facebook livestreaming options, in conjunction with the in-person meeting, for the first time.

All resolution were passed, including the proposed Constitution changes. This means Zoom participants will be able to vote at the meeting next year.

At the meeting a short presentation was made about the government's Agriculture Emissions Pricing proposal, currently out for feedback. Submissions were due the day of the meeting (18 Nov, 2022).
